Complete Project Delivery

_________________________________________

Complete Project Delivery is Can Lines Engineering’s alternative to the current “Turnkey” project approach.  The main focus of our approach is a quality engineered system that addresses not only functionality but also other important design issues such as:

  • Operator Ergonomics
  • Maintainability
  • Operational Efficiency
  • Changeover Capability
  • Plant and Corporate Standards
  • Installation Quality
  • Cost Effectiveness

To insure a quality engineered system, we work with you to understand your business needs and how that drives the project requirements and constraints.

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

Can Lines Engineering will provide the following services as part of the “Complete Project Delivery” process:

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT:  We provide complete project management from the conceptual phase of the project through commissioning and start-up.
  • CONCEPTUAL DESIGN:  Our team has many years of experience in the layout and design of packaging lines.  We will deliver a preliminary layout to verify feasibility and discuss the various options. This is done to insure the project goals are met, the highest possible operational effectiveness is achieved and the solution will be cost effective.
  • VENDOR EQUIPMENT SELECTION:  We will work with you to evaluate the options for vendor equipment and help select the correct equipment for the application.  After the selections are made, we will purchase the equipment directly or will act as your agent for procurement of the equipment including performance guarantees and commissioning.
  • LINE DESIGN:  We provide the entire line design including packaging, electrical, process and structural.  The design is verified through simulation to insure that the desired performance can be achieved. Material flow to and from the line is considered.  Operator work areas are checked for operational friendliness and for compliance with OSHA ergonomic standards.  Maintenance access is verified and changeover operations are reviewed.
  • CONTROLS INTEGRATION:  The controls integration is considered an integral part of the design and is treated as such.  All Can Lines controls engineers have experience with packaging line controls programming. Our engineers also have programming experience with the major PLC hardware and software platforms as well as the most widely used brands of operator interface software.  Our engineers have provided control and infrastructure network solutions using Ethernet, Control Net, Device Net, DH+ and Modbus + networks. We work directly with the machine vendors to provide seamless integration between equipment and the packaging line control.
  • CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT:  The successful and timely startup of a new packaging system is largely in the hands of the construction management team. Our construction management team has years of experience in packaging industry and a track record of very successful projects.
  • CONVEYOR DESIGN: We design and manufacture a full line conveying system including bottle conveyor, can conveyor, case conveyor, pallet conveyor, elevators/lowerators and can/bottle twits.  We also have facilities to design and manufacture custom machines as required to meet project requirements.
  • EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION: We have over forty years of experience in machinery erection, rigging and plant relocations.  We can insure that not only are the conveyor systems built to a high standard but also that the installation will be of an equally high quality.
  • START-UP & COMMISIONING: We provide support for line checkout, start-up and commissioning.
  • TRAINING: Operator and maintenance training is an essential part of the long term success of any operation.  Can Lines Engineering provides training on the operation and maintenance on all non vendor equipment and coordinates the vendor training provided to the client.
